My name is Tomas Blomster, and I run Besi. I have conducted a large number of executive recruitments throughout Sweden—nearly 30 in the past year alone. Drawing on my own experience as a hiring manager, I know that successful recruitment requires more than just a process. That is why I am currently one of the few authorized executive search consultants in Sweden. This authorization means that I have been reviewed by ESK’s independent ethics council and deemed to meet high standards of quality, competence, and professionalism. ESK is Sweden’s only professional association for authorization in executive search and stands for ethics, quality, and long-term responsibility in executive recruitment.

Besi primarily recruits executives and specialists. These roles may include CEO positions, CFOs (Chief Financial Officers), sales managers, or production managers. I handle assignments throughout Norrbotten and Västerbotten—primarily in Luleå, Skellefteå, Piteå, Kiruna, Boden, and Gällivare.
Sustainable recruitment
When I founded Besi in 2022, I realized—just like many others—that more women are needed in leadership positions in the business world. This is especially true in northern Sweden, which is characterized by heavy industry and many male-dominated workplaces. That’s why sustainable recruitment is Besi’s niche—and something we’ve been very successful at. In 2024, we recruited 52 percent women and 48 percent men—a figure I’m so proud of! Our goal is to continue delivering a gender-balanced selection to all our clients and thereby contribute to a more gender-equal business community in northern Sweden.
It’s easy to talk about sustainable recruitment, but harder to put it into practice. What it takes to succeed is hard work, always seeing opportunities, and going the extra mile when necessary.
